nVidia SW drivers still crap?

I know back in the nF2 days the nVidia IDE drivers were crap, and I just got a new NF4 mobo. Are they okay to install now, or should I keep the Microsoft drivers?
 
Try them. The newest drivers let you uninstall portions of itself if you desire, from add/remove programs.
 
The specific Nvidia driver that most folks complain about is the Nvidia IDE/ATAPI driver.

More specifically, the problems usually surface when installing/configuring ATAPI optical drives.

When I installed them on my A8N32 they made my SATA internal drives appear in the removeable devices list in the Sys tray.
