Nvidia Starstorm drivers problem

Ok, as i was getting a lowly 15600 in 3dmark2001, i figured i might try some other drivers.

I had directx9.0b and the 62.20 forceware drivers.
I ununstalled my card, then at reboot installd it with the starstorm 57somtehing drivers, the X version.
My harddisk kept spinning after trying to open up 3dmark2001 and the computer rebooted every time. Had to go in safemode to reinstall with the 62.20 drivers.

Anyone else had this?
Shouldi i stick with the standard nvidia driverS?

I'd avoid Starstorm anyway, simply because they're supposed to lower the texture LOD, which results in a mess of shimmery textures.

Yes, stick with nV's drivers. Just update to a newer set if your 3DM score bothers you (they're up to 67.xx already, I think).
