I have loaded the nVIDIA drivers for my ABIT NF7-S board with Soundstorm technology and according to instructions it should have created an nVIDIA Soundstorm Control Panel Icon. There was no ICON created and I am wondering why. I just recently bought the Logitech Z-640 speakers and would like to get them configured for surround sound, however, I can only get the two front and sub speakers to work. The center and rear speakers are not working. Can someone let me know what I can do to get the speakers working?

Have you tried downloading the latest drivers from nvidia's website? Or possibly the latest BIOS/mobo 'drivers' from abit? I know I had to download updated drivers for my mobo (msi k8n neo platinum) for the integrated firewall/etc stuff to work properly.

edit: Oh, and welcome to the forums.

I have the latest drivers and I have nothing on the Start menu. I have gone into Control Panel within Sounds and selecte 5.1 speakers. By doing that I have the Center speaker for playing music but I still only have the 2 front and sub for the movies.

Thanks for the responses ... It turned out for me that if I switched the black and green plugs around that I would get all the speakers. However, I never did get the ICON to show up!
