Seems like a stupid idea. Even 460s in SLI will beat a 5970, why can't they just do that? I definitely wouldn't buy a dual-470 card, even if I had the money, but I would buy a dual-460 card. It would also have the advantage of being much cooler, quieter, and drawing less power.

It really wasn't a troll post. tweakboy has posted so much shit that listening to him is completely pointless.

A few people believe him to be half person half script as his syntax is too consistent. Even if he isn't a script, he should have been banned a long time ago because of just total thread crapping. At least Wreckage has coherent posts despite the obvious bias. tweakboy's old posts would best be described as a near infinite stream of bullshit.

I can only assume it's from these two stories, (since the link in the link mentions it, but refers to a Fudzilla article which 404's).
One of these stories is 2 months old, the other is 5 days old.

Yeah, I have seen the Asus Mars card, but that is a far cry from NVIDIA launching a dual G100 card. Asus has been up to putting out their own science project cards pretty much since NV (re)introduced SLI long before the officially NVIDIA sanctioned 7900GX2 saw the light of day.

The other article doesn't say much... Oh well, always interesting to speculate.

Actually it sounds like the dual 470 Nvidia was showing @ Computex a few months back. More likely we'll get a dual-GPU 460, not a 470.

i got a proxy authentication prompt from a java popup on there, and when i went to look at what it was, firefox gave me a "known threat warning" page instead of the page it was supposed to be. looks like there could be some form of malware running on that page for sure

keys probably has his pm disabled b/c he gets spammed constantly by nvidia bashers. he has "focus group member" in his sig, he may as well hang out with a "kick me" sign on his back as far as the red team commandos are concerned.

btw, speaking of focus group, I'm still pissed that amd never came out with a focus group equivalent. especially over the past year they could have really done well with something like that. the least they could do is get some intern(s) in marketing to hang out on all the tech websites as a registered daamit rep. heck, corsair has yellowbeard, why couldn't amd have bryanw1995????
