Assuming ATi deal with leakage, they are using 90nm, so heat should be less of an issue due to that (vs 110nm for nVidia), so, well, yeah, ATi will probably be OK on heat output anyway withough varying speeds, and when it comes to next gen and nVidia move onto 90nm, ATi would have been able to do something similar possibly, and be working on a mature 90nm process. You can pretty much bet that the other reason that Nvidia haven't talked about the technology is because they didn't want ATI to find out about it and copy it.

im a nvidea owner and an ati owner and that all sounds like crap to me , l like many others will wait and see the performance and rate it off that as for his criptic answer on how many clocks , f@&#k#n joker , does he think people are stupid and cant find out , l wanna see it with extra clocks before l believe it , mind you if what he says is true and right , well mmmmmmmm.......

Just wait until news of these many clocks gets around the Internets--Dubya will be furious.

Some peeps cant grasp that a cpu or gpu can throttle according to load, newer cpus do the same adn i dont mean laptops as they have to be rebooted after unpluging mains power to let powernow set the multiplier lower, and vice versa to go from battery clock speeds to mains power clock speeds (you can turn it of if you like).
Its 1 step futher than N40 where cards core is 99% time in 2D mode and far lower and cooler, hich is good esp if you o/c it as your ownly running o/c in games not typing here on this forum 😉
