Our computer freezes a lot and has to be rebooted. We have a Pentium II, Windows 98, and the video adapter is a NVidia RIVA 128-bit.
No other problems can be found, and we're wondering if the video card or driver may not be compatible.
Wondering if anyone has seen this intermitant problem? We're thinking about decreasing the video accelleration.

That's the prob, most likely. Upgrade to Win2K and you'll be much happier! :D

I suggest a DRIVER upgrade over an OS upgrade...

Check the mfg. website of your card and get the latest driver.

1) uninstall anything related to the Riva 128 in add/remove programs
2) set to standard vga
3) reboot
4) install new downloaded driver

What driver are you using? I found the updated driver from the Microsoft update database is more stable than the one from the NVIDIA web site.
