up close
i'm at the top of the tower in unrealtournament 2004 faceclassic. most settings on low just so the game playes (fog distance at highest). super high settings don't change anything. most noticeable-the pillar that wraps around the tower is invisible in the first pic, and is noticeable in the second (i think i moved foward in the second one). so is this a result of super nvidia rending? if so, rollo come defend me! (i'm not using the newest drivers. i forgot which one, but the last one that worked on the geforce 2 gts)

ps thank you anubis for the image hosting link

If I had to guess, I would say that UT2K4 is trying to DX8.1 and/or DX9 things that the GF2 simply doesn't support, which is why changing the detail settings seems to have no effect. Either that, or things are being forced in the drivers.

Perhaps you could be clearer about which settings you are modifying?
