The article is incorrect. GPUs have hundreds of shader units (marketing calls them Stream Processors to sound fancier) but this is not at all the same as multiple cores in CPUs. There is only one complete, functional processor on the card.

The new GeForce GPUs contain 240 Shaders, and these specs have been out for months. The new Radeon series have 480 Shaders using a different design. The product this article refers to is merely the professional/workstation version of a GeForce.
