I have a system with a EVGA 650i Ultra...
Problem:
nVidia integrated RAID will not post!!! BIOS skips it.
Root Cause:
Added a Highpoint 2300 RAID Controller (PCI-E 1x)
How the heck can I get the BIOS to post the nvidia RAID bios THEN the Highpoint?????
The OS on this particular system is a RAID0 that is on the nVidia controller. The Highpoint is a RAID5 of 4 1TB Drives that were moved over to this system from my Media Center. Would love to get this working.
I've read in the Highpoint manual that INT13 needs to be disabled to be "multi-controller" friendly at boot.... I had to actually stick the card in my kid's system (because you actually had to be in the OS to do it SIGH!) and had to run a flash program to disable the INT13 feature. Well unfortunately my boot process goes like this:
System BIOS >>> HighPoint BIOS >>> Some message pops up real fast about an option rom bla bla can't get exact because it flies by too quickly >>> tries to use bootrom off NIC.
Desired:
System BIOS >>> Nvidia RAID >>> Highpoint BIOS >>> BOOT
I deal with this at work on our servers all the time but the system BIOS on the servers is WAY more advanced allowing you to choose the detected controller boot orders... I'm stumped.
Thanks!
