Now, i right now have a ATI Radeon 850xt and i'm wondering whats the difference with the nvidia geforce 7800 GT and the GTX.

Also say i get a 7800 gtx will that have the SLI built in or do i need to get (on pricewatch it shows this) the 7800 gtx PCIE sli.

Thanks.

All you need is a SLi motherboard.
Unlike ATi cards, Nvidia has a small connector on all PCi-e cards (6600 and up). These are the SLi connectors. Lets say you buy a 7800GT, and buy another one, all you do is connect the two using the SLi bridge and done. So you dotn have to worry about master cards and etc.

The GTX is 10~20% faster than the GT.

Yea thats what i figured for the SLI, kinda weird they put one down as just SLI then when they all (above 6600 and up) can do it.

Thanks for the summary of the GTX vs the GT, that stuff gets confusing.

Its a 24 pipe card vs a 20 pipe card. But the GT is like 100 cheaper than the GTX, which makes it worth while to grab it. Unless you want more performance.
