Good quarter, bad year.

The XS "analysis" is also well off, comparing ATI's $427m to NV's $900m+
More accurately it's $427m vs $730.7m, so ATI are at around 37% vs 63% for NV.
NV do manage better margins as well as higher revenue, so they are doing better overall, but the comparison from XS of ATI graphics revenue vs NV overall revenue is a little off.

Interestingly next report the numbers won't be comparable, since NV are going to fold MPC numbers into GPU numbers and not give a breakdown, while AMD fold MPC numbers into AMD numbers. Partly because that 20% of their business by revenue is going to disappear over the course of the next year or two.

Interesting, NVIDIA is doing better than expected. It looks like the supply problem from TSMC is actually helping NVIDIA.

AMD graphics though is doing fantastic last quarter. According to this article (http://blogs.barrons.com/techtrader...woons-worries-on-inventory-shift-to-gaap-eps/), NVIDIA business was up 9% sequentially while AMD graphics business was up 40% sequentially last quarter.
