When I use the "override refresh rates" in NVidia's control panel
Doom 3 timedemo demo1 fps' drops from 77 to 59 (1024x768 HQ) !
But when I set the refresh rate in doom 3 cfg, I get the expected
fps.

Anyone else have this problem, anyone know any solutions ?
Because the default is 60hz.

System: win2000
p4p800se (865pe mb)
1gig Corsair ValueRam
BFG 68000C drivers 66.93

It seem to be a driver problem and i know , it suck.

If you use refresh override option , it will cut your frame rate in 2 !!!!

There are a some post about this here :

www.nvnews.net/forums

nVidia really need to fix this asap

P.S : I dunnp if its present in every driver versions because i haven"t tried them all but it is a problem in 67.03 for sure (what i use)

Thank's Lord Athlon,
yeah this is crappy, I was going crazy trying different things to try
to find out why my performance wasn't what it should be.

Finally uninstalled vid drivers, driver cleaner, reinstalled drivers, didn't think it would
make a diff. because it's a new system put together not long ago, but now
my performance was about where I thought it should be.
Then sometime later played doom and performance was terrible again, and realized
the only thing I changed was "override refresh rates", who would've thought that would
cause such a performance decrease.

Like I said I can set the refresh rate for doom 3 it it's cfg file,
but other games may not have that option, and it'll
be stuck at 60hz.

and thanks for the link.
