Nvidia Nforce chipset networking question

Hey everyone,

I just bought a new mobo with an Nforce 1 chipset on it...I was shocked to see that when I hooked up the onboard nic card to my switch that the switch did not indicate that it and the nic were talking full duplex! What's up with that.... Is nvidia pulling legs in saying they have good onboard network hardware(realtek 8201L which is full duplex supported...but does it really transmit at that) .... something i'm missing. I later installed a linksys 10/100 with 200 Mbits/s full duplex and my switch was cool with that and the "full duplex" light went on. Please post your replies.

I saw on TechTV once someone saying that people would often see that their ethernet adapter wasn't operating at full duplex(I think by the OS's status indication) and that they would manually set it that way. The guy said not to do that. If you know it's supposed to be in full duplex then I guess that doesn't apply. You do realize that the adapter adjusts to whatever equipment it's being used with though, right?
