Nvidia nForce 6.70 vs 6.66 drivers

Is it a bad idea to install 6.70 instead of 6.66 because it has an IDE driver?

Both have the nVidia SW IDE driver. Likewise, in both cases, you may elect to not install it. Generally, it is quite safe to install unless you have a SATA optical drive, in which case you *might* run into issues.

i would stay away from nvidia IDE drivers, just use the MS ones that come with windows... trust me

Both have the Nvidia SW IDE driver,however when you install the chipset drivers you have the option to install the SW IDE driver or not.
