Hi. I am having the nvidia-blues =)
I have had a Asus A8N-E motherboard /AMD 3000+ Venice/fresh XP pro for a few months. I react to the machine being really slow at times. Especially at task-switching and starting programs it can be annoyingly slow compared to my other p4p800/i865/p4 2.8nw system. I thought that it may be due to some components missing, so I tried to install nvidias drivers.
However, when trying to install the 6.60/6.70 package from nvidia, I get a total system freeze or bsod when it comes to the IDE drivers. If I unselect the IDE drivers, the installation works. Any ideas? Asus says that I have to have newer drivers in order to upgrade the bios.
regards
