I remember reading in a thread about a bug where regardless the refresh rate you set it is actually stuck at 60hz...Does anybody remember this or sounds like something they remember...I believe they said it could effect the frame rates in games. There was some program that could manually set this...Can somebody link this for me please...

This is a Windows 2000 glitch. You can get around it with certain software. Rivatuner is one program that will allow a workaround.

Are you referring to the win2k bug of fixed refresh rate at 60Hz in games? It affects all video cards though.

Didn't MSFT already fix that in a critical update? My monitor certainly isn't refreshing at 60Hz.

<< Well if it is a win2k issue I shouldn't be effected with me...How about xp, no issues there??? >>

More accurately it's an NT issue. It affects all OS's based on the NT kernel, WindowsXP included.

Yeah it's weird. The first time I did a clean install of WinXP Pro, I didn't have the refresh rate bug; however, on my second clean install of the OS, I had to use the nVidia refresh rate fix to get out of teh 60Hz problem.
