nVidia ION video lag.

I have two video cards in my desktop, GTX 460 and ION.

GTX 460 on pcie x16, DVI to monitor, HDMI to receiver for TV
ION on pcie x1, DVI to 2nd monitor

I play a video in VLC, not HD, on the GTX 460 and everything is fine in full screen. I drag the video to the monitor powered by the ION card, and in original size it's fine (624x352) but as soon as I put to full screen the video is lagged behind the audio. Since the two cards share the same drivers, I can't see anything being the cause except the card? Has anyone with an ION run into this video lag? Weirdly a 1080p video on the ION card has barely any lag and seems fine on the 460.
