Hi All

Been a long time reader of Anandtech and though I may as well register!

Hope this is in the correct section, if not, please move/delete.

So, I bought a GTX 590 off of eBay as it was listed faulty but worked until you installed Drivers and tried a higher Res then it would go blank.

Sounded to me like it was the infamous driver issue the GTX 590 had when launched so paid a sum of £26 and picked it up Friday night!

Took it apart and doesn't look like its ever been dissembled as the Thermal paste was like dust, had all melted and made a right mess...

Same with the controller in the middle of the board, Thermal paste everywhere. Now once I had cleaned up the paste I noticed this.

May I ask if anyone help me with locating or finding out what SMD is needed? If so, what voltage/wattage etc it is so I can solder a new one?

I have read in other forums that some people have bridged the solder points on various graphics cards that have had bits missing and it worked fine.

Cheers

You legend.

I did have a look but my eye sight is shocking and no magnifier at present. I am looking on Amazon for a desolder station so I can heat the SMD and remove it without damage.

Thanks for the link,

Dave
