Like the title says, I have the reference 560ti. Card is less than two weeks old. System specs below in my sig.
Playing Fallout:New Vegas(only game I play) on Ultra @ 1920x1080. I have a couple logs files from GPU-Z. Temps have gradually increased in the past two weeks. when I first installed the card I was seeing temps in the low 80s as a max after playing for 2 hours. Now I am seeing 100c for about 15 minute periods (fluctuates 98, 99, 100)with GPU load at 99%, fan load hits 75%(fan on auto)
This is all with the case panel off and ambient temps 76-78F,
This is way too high for this card, right? I have searched here and elsewhere and most are seeing the low 80s under load with these cards.
Did I burn off the thermal paste? Can I try reapplying the thermal paste without voiding the warranty? I have some Arctic Silver 5 at home.
If nothing else I will just exchange the card at BB. But if I can fix it in 5 min with new paste I'd rather do that.
