Guys,

So it has been a couple of months since I cleaned my PC (from dust).

Everything is working well so I checked HW Monitor to make sure everything is stable but I was shocked to see my GPU temperatures!

The first one is 50C and the 2nd one is 61C.

I have tried using canned-dusters (blow air really fast) on the card before as well as on my other peripherals but it has proven to be rather ineffective.

What is the best way to keep the GPU free from dust and other gunk?

My PC is air-cooled and the Xigmatek fan (with the metallic heat sink) looks like it returned from a night out in the Saudi desert.

HELP!

Idle or load temps?

Are these stacked on top of each other so one of them has very limited intake?
edit: lol, just saw it's a 295...not SLi...sorry

Anyway, if those are load temps you're fine, that's pretty low. If those are idle, may be a little more concerned but not unless temps get over 90c, even then it's still "safe" unless you see any instability.

Get some fan grilles for your intake fan if you're that worried about dust. More likely than not though, they'll increase noise plus make your case hotter. There's a post in Cases and Cooling showing a link to some good information on different grilles.

Those temps seem reasonable. My 4890 has been running 24/7 at around 83*C and my i7 @ 75 for almost a year strait.

You might have to pop the shroud off to clean the heatsinks. Those fine-bladed sinks can get clogged with dust, totally killing a lot of cooling.

It's a GTX295, and those temps are perfectly normal for stock idle: the first GPU (50C) receives cool air over its heatsink, whereas the second (61C) has to make do with air from the first to cool its heatsink.

Not sure what temps OP was expecting, but it'll take something like undervolting or after-market cooling (water?) to get markedly lower temps.

Is it the Coop version or dual PCB? It seems about right to me. I had to keep the fan at 100% under load for an 85C load temp.

Umm.....those are awesome temps.

Are you thinking about CPU temps possibly?

yeah... on air ~60 is about right and 50 is just amazing (IDLE temps)
