Nvidia states the requirement for the GTS450 as 400w minimum. So yes the Corsair VX450 will have enough juice for the GTS450.

Your power supply has 33amps on it's 12v and the graphics card requires 22amps (reference) so that shouldn't be an issue either.

Can't say much about the performance of the card...

I would recommend Asus but mostly cause I've never used Zotac.

It should be decent enough at that resolution, PSU will be fine.
I would probably go with whichever has the best warranty, assuming prices are similar.
If they have the same warranty, then probably either the cheaper of the two, or if they are the same price, Asus since it's a bigger company so local support for their products might be better. Not sure how global Zotac is.

I have a Palit GeForce GTS 450 Sonic and it's performance is very good. With Hawk 2 I get 95fps with Max Settings at 1600x1200. The reason I got the GTS 450 is because the Palit version is very very quiet and cool.

I was so impressed with the GeForce GTS 450 I bought another one which was the Palit GeForce GTS 450 Sonic Platinum which outperformed my HIS Radeon HD 5770 and was quieter too.

Yea the GTS450 is not that power hungry.

I have one and you can get them for about $90 after rebate at newegg right now.

Yea the 450 is a good card but its no 69xx or 580.

I clocked my 450 to 800/2000 at default voltage.

HD5770 outperforms GTS450

Yes that might be true with a reference design of the geforce gts 450. I have the factory overclocked versions from palit. the geforce gts 450 sonic is 880mhz, 1760 Shader clock and ddr 3900 Memory. The sonic platinum is 930mhz, 1860 Shader clock and ddr 4000 memory.

Compared to the reference design which is 783mhz, 1566 Shader clock and ddr 3608 makes them quite a bit faster and the palit geforce gts 450 is almost silent and runs very cool.

wouldn't it be better to get a gtx460 for the same price; would be quite a bit better performance?
