Also tested and confirmed by LAV Filters developer which also owns a GM206 card.

To augment some earlier numbers, GPU-Z actually shows Video Engine Load, and barely any GPU load (and very little CPU load as well), so it appears to be a proper HW decoder indeed!

Nvidia beats the competition again by over a year, GM206 based cards started shipping back in Jan 2015.
 
Nice. Tegra X1 has support for fixed function VP9 decoding I believe so this isn't too much of a surprise. Good to see it enabled 🙂
