nVidia GFX 5700 VE PROBLEM!

I recently bought a PNY Verto 5700 VE video card. I have a Soyo Dragon KT600 Plus motherboard running Windows XP Pro. I have made sure I have all chipset/video/directx 9.0c drivers up to date, and most of my games work well with this, yet I have certain problems with games that don't use the new T&L. Unreal, Unreal Tournament (original), and Deus Ex (original) all run poorly. A border of a constantly changing color appears on the sides of the screen while I play, and the FPS become choppy. I'm running it at 1024x768x32, which is my desktop res, and I don't know what to do anymore. I've tried messing around with drivers, and configuration but nothing seems to help this. Any suggestions?

Try running unreal with the glide api using this directX wrapper http://www.zeckensack.de/glide/index.html
Runs great on my old nVidia GF2MX.

Never played Deus Ex though.
