nVidia gf4 Help Please!

Story is I upgraded from a 32MB ATi AIW to a Ti 4200 128MB card not so long ago. Gaming performance is superior to the ATi but going into my purchase I knew well ahead of time the nVidia would fall short on 2D performance. Where it really bugs me about this card is it can't render simple desktop movements well enough to save itself. Everytime I drag a window I see noticable 'ghost/shadows' (cursor moves hyperspeed, window moves like molasses) whereas the ATi would have absolutely no problems. Quite happy in every other respect.

Driver ver: 4.0.7.2

Any tweaking or 2D emphasized driver out there? Thinking of slapping my ATi back in til I can afford a pure gaming rig.

Thx

there is a show window contents while draging option somewhere that will put a stop to the flickering window bit, though i can't say were it is off hand. geting beter 2d is not realy an openion though tweeking that i know of though. you could just retrun the card and get an 8500le and some change or spring for a 9500pro and have great gameing preformace and great 2d.
