Nvidia Geforce4 default clock issue

I have the geforce4 Ti 4600 video card. I also have Rivatuner, a video card tweaking program. When I go to the programs overclocking function, it tells me that the current GPU clock speed is 150mhz, and the ram is 325mhz. I know that for the ram that clock is actually double because it is DDR. But my question is, why is the GPU so low. I believe the advertised clock speed is 300mhz with the Ram being 650mhz. Does anyone have an idea about this?

I think it meant 150Mhz(X2) and 325Mhz(X2) So you really still are at 300MHz Core and 650Mhz Memory.

Odd, I'm in Rivatuner right now with my Ti4400. If you were looking at low level system tweaks (overclocking) it should have the speeds as the true doubled values. I'm using Rivatuner 2.0 RC 10.2. What ver are you using?

I am using version 2.0 release, candidate 8.2. Hmm....so I could have a bad card, and maybe I need to send it back. It is the Chaintech special edition version. I like the way it looks, but if I have a problem then it goes back. I spent to much money to have a problem. Well let me know what you all think.

Try the latest version of Rivatuner first. Your version just might not be reporting something right. At speeds that low, I don't think the card would even boot to Windows.

that was it, when I installed the new rivertuner, it displayed everything correctly. Maybe that was holding the card back, well I am going to check out some games, and see how it works. I will keep you all posted.
