Its pounds, it's a British website. So essentially its worthless info, British hardware is always more expensive than EU hardware and even more expensive than US hardware. EU has some ridiculous taxes and fees on hardware, so we always get screwed with much higher prices. Thank your EU governments for favoring high taxes. It's all of us who end up paying for it by being forced to buy more expensive products and then people wonder why their standard of living is falling. Look no further!

Anecdotally, speaking with Micro Center staff friends and Fry's manager here in DFW, the 1660/1660ti/2060 have all been superb sellers. 2070 and 2080 have been anemic to disastrous, while the 2080ti holds up fairly well as a 'halo' luxury product.

I think moving to a 2060ti / 2070ti /2080+ revision that is $299, $399, $549 could really give uplift to their sales. I think, as said before, that the very lengthy timeframe that 10xx (and even upper 980/980ti) have been available has left a lot of buyers with $300-$600ish with nothing compelling to buy.

Yeah the big kicker that at a given price there is almost no movement in performance. So you are either a new buyer or you are deciding you need to spend a bunch more than your last card and jumping up to the 2080ti. I think Nvidia thought RT would be a killer feature and might have been if they had a really killer app that made it worth it and they would get more high end upgrades even if the general performance was more of a side grade. But I think this gen they really gutted their upgrade cycle buyers.

Vega 7 is an oddball that is really really good for some pro uses, but not overly impressive or efficient for gamers. Given how expensive it is to produce, I bet they'd just sit on the price through EOL while they trickle to pro buyers, and the bigger plan for gamers is Navi.

That's possible. $699 likely doesn't leave AMD with a lot of profit margin. It's undoubtedly more expensive to produce Radeon VII than, say, RTX 2080. Radeon VII is priced where it is due to its relative proximity in performance to RTX 2080 (stock; personally I think Radeon VII is the better deal once you do some tweaking to both cards). NV has more wiggle room when it comes to lowering prices.

I doubt NV price moves will affect Navi since launch products probably won't eclipse $250 (and may not even hit that price level). If NV actually lowers 1660Ti prices, Navi prices might have to launch a bit lower, but it's hard to say. 1660Ti is probably not in need of a major price drop.
