Nvidia GeForce 6600 LE

Now, we know that currently the 6200 non-TurboCache is the best of the budget line, right? I'm pretty sure the list goes like this, give or take a spot because of different demands of different applications, from best to worst:

6200
X300
6200 TC 32 MB 64-bit
6200 TC 64 MB 64-bit
X300 HM 32 MB
6200 TC 16 MB 32-bit
X300 SE

There is also a 6200 TC 32 MB 32-bit, but I haven't found any benchmarks for it. I'm pretty sure it would be about equal to the X300 HM 32 MB, but that's just my guess. There is also an X300 HM 128 MB, and I really have no clue where that would fit...

But anyway, where would the 6600 LE fit in this list? Where would it fit in here if it is 64-bit and where would it fit in here if it is 128-bit? Thanks.

Since, a 6600le is just a overclocked 6200,

6600LE
6200
X300
X300 SE (either here)
6200 TC 32 MB 64-bit
X300 SE (or here)
6200 TC 64 MB 64-bit
X300 HM 32 MB
6200 TC 16 MB 32-bit

btw, i think X300se is better than the 6200tcs and X300Hm up to a point. Not too sure since almost no comparos.

Tom's Hardware's VGA Charts has one.

Since it's only 64-bit, it hampers it a lot. That's why it's so low.

Anyway, does it matter if the 6600 LE is 64-bit or 128-bit? I mean, will it be on the top either way?

its weird, if you game on these cards, your going to do so at 640x480 or 800x600, i'm not sure if the 64-bit limitation plays in at those low resolutions

I saw that link above my post. I wonder why they would release an overclocked version of this card, but not one of the vanilla 6600?? Anyway, if this kind of card will be $60-70, then I'm ALL FOR IT!

GeForce 6600LE Card Details

The first GeForce 6600LE card has the SLI connector on the card which allows SLI bridging with another 6600LE card since it is
using the 6600GT PCB. The current core of the 6600LE (NV43-V) is in fact 6200 core which is 4 pipes but unlockable to 8 pipes. The 6600LE core is clocked at 425MHz opposed to 300MHz core on the 6200. Some AIC like Galaxy market their 6600LE card as GDDR3 edition running at 1GHz but the reference 6600LE card is actually using 500MHz GDDR-I memories. The current Forceware 77.72 or even 80.40 drivers are not able to support 6600LE yet but the next official drivers will be released in the upcoming WHQL driver on 22nd July. The price of this card is estimated to be at US$40. It is also interesting to know that the current 6200 cards can be flashed to 6600LE and has the ability to SLI with the bridge or without.

good price. $100 for 6600le sli. Now if you somehow unlock the oced 425/1000mhz versions to get a 6600gt and buy 2 to sli for around $100, id buy it as fast as hell. It'd be the deal of the year. 6800gt speed(around) for 9800pro price.
