Nvidia GeForce 378.66 WHQL driver

Since these drivers add high bit depth decoding support for HEVC, I wonder if Netflix will now add NVidia Pascal GPUs to the list of hardware that supports their 4K streaming?

HEVC Main10 hardware decoding has been available since 2015 with Maxwell GM206 and carried over to GF10 series GPU using Microsoft DXVA2 API and software player like MPC-HC, what is new is HEVC Main12 hardware decoding which Pascal GPUs supports. VP9 hardware decoding is the same also, using DXVA2 API & MPC-HC you have it for a while now.

But Video Codec SDK 8.0 has not been release yet, so you can't do 12bit hardware decoding until then. Microsoft has not release new DXVA2 API documentation or support for 12bit hardware decoding, so you can't use it with standard DXVA2 API for now.

Right, but if HEVC Main10 hardware decoding has been supported by PC hardware for a while now, why isn't Netflix supporting PC hardware with the exception of Kaby Lake? As far as I know, Netflix uses Main10 HEVC decoding.

I lost multi-monitor support with this driver.
I have for monitors (1xHDMI, 3xDisplayPort) on my MSI Gaming 1080.
Now only two monitors work and the driver is crashing.
Not happy at the moment.

Had to install it twice... first time it just removed the old driver and nothing else. I had to rerun setup from GE to get things back to normal (no driver at all was reported). Looks OK excluding that small hiccup...
