Nvidia GeForce 375.86 WHQL driver

just a warning to people

this driver hijacked my default audio settings from what they were and set them to the GFX Card

minor annoyance but annoying as F either way as it took me a few min to figure out why i no longer had sound from anything

I use the digital out from the mobo to an external device

Experience was able to update me to this driver but when I went to NVidia's site it mysteriously was not available for download even though it shows in the driver return results for my card. I just wanted a copy of it saved just in case instead of relying on experience.

Edit: Thanks to the nice folks over in the GeForce forums I found the directory where GeForce places the downloaded file and was able to copy it to my repository for safe keeping.. FYI experience places the file in c:\ProgramData\NVIDIA Corporation\Downloader then you have to look at the individual registry entries to find which one holds the file. This one was under C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA Corporation\Downloader\65a121f0090af857a9857e3c8b00323d on my boot drive.

Flickering 2d elements in BF1 on Titan XP

Appears to be some stuttering but I may be imagining that

Do not upgrade

BF1 was broken by the BF update and is not specific to Nvidia drivers from what Nvidia rep said. A lot of Pascal people have GPU memory stuck at 810mhz or something awful like that. Driver is an absolute disaster and the worst one seen in years.

I was seeing some strange issues with watching streaming videos so I updated to the hotfix version. If they should reappear I'll report back in.
