I got them earlier this afternoon; the download only took a few minutes. I must have beaten the rush or something.

http://www.geforce.com/News/articles/nvidia-geforce-290-53-beta-drivers-released

Released today, actually saw the news in Battlelog for BF3. Hopefully this indeed does fix the random black triangles I get in BF3.

Follow the link for download...

Bleh, getting really slow (60KB/s) download speed... I'll try them later. :p

I am running 11.12 radeon drivers and i see those in a faint blue....usually the map operation firestorm reveals them i usually see about 8 of them in a little group they almost look like friendly tags but i can be in the middle of a dirt field and still see there where there is no one...

Yeah, mine are sometimes blue but mostly black. They aren't really just triangles that pop up (at least mine aren't), they are more triangles that spread across the screen. Kinda like artifacts, but they don't stick around very long. Less than a second usually...

Is it normal for nVidia to advance the BETA drivers but not release them as retail? The current drivers are still from Oct and they've gone through at least 3 beta updates.

I got in trouble for making such a thread. Soo warning firebird ,, search for nvidia drivers and post these, not make a new thread. just warning you for future... :)

These drivers are pretty solid, no errors no problems, they simply work!

tweakboy, you did not get a warning. A warning is something that has to be entered into the Vbulletin system and logged just the same as an infraction. No different than when the police pull you over for speeding but then let you off with a warning.

What you received for your repost thread was even less than that, not even a warning. Your repost thread was locked and an attempt was made via the mod-comment to impress upon you the seriousness of your repeated issues with making new threads when new threads are not warranted.

Case in point being this very thread. This very thread here was created some 4hrs before your thread which was on the exact same topic. That is what made your thread a repost, which is why your thread was locked and this one was not.

Honestly I'm at a loss as to how the very concept of a repost is somehow news to you

At any rate, this thread's OP 96Firebird has no need to be warned by you as you stated in your post. He's following the rules and checking the forums to see if the thread he wants to post about has already been posted up.

Regardless, you shouldn't be here worrying about driver threads, you are supposed to be off doing something that involves enjoying your new beta drivers ;)

Thanks for bumping this back up, I almost forgot to download these. :D

Any no worries tweak, I saw your post and had to double-check to see if mine was the repost. Then I was wondering if you just plain didn't like me and didn't want to post in my thread. :(

I'll have to test these on my day off tomorrow...

So far, so good, these drivers for me are by far the best since driver 275.33. Running Firefox and IE9 and after a week have yet to experience a TDR. Not to mention my performance has improved in BF3 and Skyrim.

Has anyone tried the fps limiter in Nvidia inspector with these drivers, curious how well it works compared to vsync.

What would be the advantage/disadvantage of this approach, one way or the other? Have never tried that.

The 290.53 drivers have been pretty good here so far, though. Only trouble I've seen is some very occasional texture flickering in SS3, usually a building on the horizon or the far opposite wall of a very large room (like the museum in the second level). Not sure if this is driver version specific or just a Croteam feature.

i wonder if this effects Nvidia's 3dTV play. cause under requirements it says i need the previous version Beta and does not list this one or any others.
