I am trying to install my new video card on a Vaio Desktop PCG-RB40, PCI- E. I'd disable the onboard video card before shutting down my system and now I can not see anything,
Does anyone know how or what i need to do to configure my card properly ?

Not having bothered to connect any IGP device's output port to anything in at least ten-twelve years, I can't recall ever being allowed by an OS to do what is supposed to have been done here. For that matter, I can't recall any BIOS too stupid to use any video connected to the system to display its bootup information, so the only thing I can think is happening is that the video card added onto the system was defective before being used.

reset the cmos. you know with the jumper. or by removing the battery.
then try agfain.

Thanks much for all your help, I have the card up and runing, now, how do i set up my monitor to use the DVI- Connection?

If I'm not mistaken, you can do one of two things: go to the display in the control panel, or there is a menu button on the monitor itself that will allow you to set it to either digital or analog. Oh yea... welcome to the forums!😀
