Ok, news sources misworded the info i got a bit. These are "official beta drivers", so they are still beta, but atleast they're not leaked from guru 3d :)

Official "non-beta" drivers should be released in a week or so

games such as far cry where if you look in a distance....something's literally shimmering (quite noticeable)
you have to experience it yourself

You can see that in Farcry or WoW. It is hard to explain with words, but it is like textures shift a bit in a certain part of the image, causing flickering. It has to do with the way the card uses the image geometry to process the image textures. It affects Anistropic Filtering.

You can see the with the vegetation on Farcry or the floor in Word of Warcraft, at Sepulcher for example.

The are lots of threads about this, including Anand's forums. Try searching for the word shimmer.

This is my first nVidia card. What is Forceware? Is that like Catalyst for ATI?
