NVIDIA Forceware 93.71

WOW!! these drivers are amazing, sorry no benchmark's yet, but it DOUBLED my memory speeds on my 7800GT...GDDDR3 FTW😛
That's utterly impossible. You're lucky if you can get your 7800GT to go to 1.3, but 2.4?
that's just insane...

*downloads drivers to see if they work on his 7800GT*

😛

EDIT: The 7900GTX only has a 1.7 mem speed doesn't it?

Yeah - kinda cool it now shows the DDR rate now. Of course I'm so used to seeing it halved it kinda messes with me.

My 3DMark05 speeds are virtually identical between the new 93.71's and the previous 91.47's.

Oh lol, I should have thought of that earlier

switched back to 91.47...93.71 wouldn't allow me to keep my OC startup settings on my 7800GT(480/1200) the same for my 7900GT...also I noticed no difference in IQ/performance over 91.47.

Another driver thats buggy with coolbits.
WTF is the world coming too. That makes 4 bad drivers that Nvidia has pumped out (93.xx w/e it was, 92.91, 96.89, and this one).
By far the least buggy is the 92.91 and thats what i use. Only has two bugs. Error message with New CP (don't use it) and can't create custom profile with SLI (never do it anyway) so it's no big deal. It performs better and has better IQ then 91.47 (which is my fallback driver since it's extreamly stable for me).

So how is coolbits buggy? Does it disappear like the 96.89's? Or does it just not keep the OC? Or does it just have the ram bug?
As long as it isn't that bad, I'll give it a shot. I already downloaded it, now should I install it over my XTreme-G 92.91's?

You can't even underclock with these drivers with Coolbits, keeps saying" test failed" lol, don't think I can keep these.

I have gone back to 91.47s, hated the 93.71s,had mouse lag, could not under or overclock and Gothic 3 was more laggy(poorer performance) in general with the 93.71s.

Ironically even with my underclock of my 7800GT OC(set it to default GT speed from factory OC preset)it is performing better and no mouse lag like with 93.71s.

Update I'm going to give 93.71 another shot, downloaded a fresh version from a different link and using the usual Driver Cleaner and cab cleaner for clean install, hope I get better results this time.

After 2nd time with these all I can say is they are crap,Nvidia driver quality is not like the old days, getting artifacts in Gothic 3(textures flashing etc)...however I'm trying the beta 96.89s and they are working great in Gothic 3 ,no artifacts ,everything at same settings too,so I'll stick with 96.89s for now.

Link to 96.89 .

As far as I know ,there are no downloadable drivers for the 8800GTX at the moment,Nightmare225.

Nah, I just was speculating that the new betas are those that will be launched for the G80 series. Considering they are launching in 4 days. 😉

There is. Forceware 96.89 lists support for 8800 series in the .ini file
