No no, GA102 same as Navi21 are for a long time not produced anymore because these are already replaced (or were planned to be replaced months before) and you have to get rid of the other chip that is also expensive to produce before you bring its successor. I believe GA104 and smaller is still produced, same with the equivalent Navi22 and smaller at AMD.

Discontinued is not the same as End Of Life. The former means they won't make anymore, the latter means they won't support anymore (drivers etc)

I had restock notifications for pretty much every GPU available 3060+ for Nvidia and 6700+ for AMD through 2021 at B&H, and the past year has been a steady trickle of "discontinued" notices especially for the Nvidia models. For whatever that's worth. So this isn't necessarily new news.

The cards aren't EOL'ed. That suggest no driver updates, etc.

It makes 100% sense that cards like the 3080 and 3090 are no longer going to be manufactured as the 40 series equivalents are already out.
