nVidia Dual-Tuner card accessory setup

I just read the article about the nVidia Dual-Tuner card, and I?ve very curious about one thing:

The idea behind the HTPC boxes, or media center PC?s is great, but I am looking for slightly more functionality.

My house is brand new, and as a result has been prewired with ?Media Plates? in almost every room (some rooms with 2 or more).

Our Media Plates include the following jacks:

1x RJ-45 Ethernet
1x phone jack
1x Coaxial for TV
1x Coaxial for RF Antenna or extra TV

Where the Family room media niche is placed, the builders included basically 2 Media Plates along with a dedicated Media power circuit outlet, as well as the rooms standard power circuit too. They really thought through the ?21st century? home concept, and I want to reap the rewards of this.

What I?d love to do is actually place my media center PC in another room, and then somehow use my network capabilities to control it from my family room. Whether I use the coaxial connections, or the Ethernet? I just want to avoid having a big machine in my tv unit. I plan on using the additional coaxial outlet on the plate to route the signal from the PC to the TV in the other room. I already do something similar to this with my TiVo.
Is there a radio remote, or way to control the PC from perhaps AOpen MiniPC, or something to that effect. Maybe there?s a USB or Ethernet based IR port product that would suit my needs here?

Price isn?t really an issue (well it is, but I?d rather know all my options and then choose whether it is worth it).

Can you suggest anything? Can you see a fit for my need?

** My thought on using HTPC cases: Not really a fan of them. They are ok I guess, but they still look like camoflaged PCs. If I have to use a PC in the actual Entertainment Unit, I'd rather have something super small like the mini PC that I can virtually hide. (that's assuming that I can use a mini PC to control the media center PC)**

Thanks

Have you considered running MCE on your main system and then purchasing a Media Center Extender to drive your TV in the living room?

BTW, I own the DualTV MCE tuner and I think it has great image quality.
