Nvidia dual monitor problems

alrighty, i have a geforce 4 go in my laptop that supports duel monitors. my problem is that in order to enable duel monitors, a second device has to be detected. since my TV doesn't have s-video i'm having to use a box that works as an RF adapter. My laptop doesn't detect the RF adapter box and my RF adapter box won't work unless a video signal is given to it. so is there anyway i can force my laptop to give a display signal to the s-video without a device being detected?
