nvidia drivers.. which ones do you use and why?

I was hoping to gain a little insight into what drivers work for what people, and why sometimes they don't . I'm posting this because I'm going to be installing my new graphics card in approximately 10 days, and I was wondering what ones to use. FYI its a MSI gf 4 TI4400

I always use the latest Nvidia official drivers,29.42 at the moment, why? Simple I never get any problems and don`t see the need to try any leaked or beta drivers.

So starting with the latest official 29.42 drivers for your GF4 would be a good start, remember driver opinions are subjective.

🙂

I use the official Det. 29.42 on my GF2MX400. There's no need for me to go with the latest leaked ones, which I did like crazy in the past. The GF2MX core is maxed out performance-wise.
In your case I'd go with the latest leaked Dets, that would be 30.82 which you can get on sites like warp2search.com or guru3d.com etc.

Dammit, I talked BS!
You haven't even setup your system, so the best option would be to start with the official Dets (29.42) like Mem suggested or with the ones supplied with the card. Is everything running fine you can start playing around with the betas... 😉

the only reason i ask is because i have two friends with gainward's 4600 that had BSOD's with the 29.42 and only got stability on the 30.82 drivers. maybe they are just screwed up... or maybe its gainwards drivers... i don't know.

anyway thanks

I use the latest drivers of nvidia (29.42) why?
because their stable and I don't want to f**k up my system with beta drivers

UPDATE!! I`m on the latest official 30.82 drivers now that are at Nvidia`s website,no problems so far,but I don`t expect any 🙂.
