Alright here is my issue:

I have a computer setup with Win2k, just installed it and 12.41 drivers off of nvidia's site. According to my Monitor's INF file I can not have anything higher than 60hz for the refresh rate at any given resolution, however according to my manual, I know better. Well here's the issue, when I use it on my Voodoo3, I can manually change the refresh rate threw the registry with no problems to 85hz for every resolution from 640x480-1280x1024 and 60hz for 1600x1200. When I use it on my GeForce2, use the NVRefFix, or whatever that thing is called, Set it up with that, I get jack squat, it doesn't work at all. It boots up, but damn it goes to 1600x1024@60hz, and only shows me 4 resolutions, 1600x1024/1600x1200@60hz w/ 8/16/32 bit color, and 640x480/800x600@60hz w/ 4 bit color. Now I want it so that I can use my monitor at 85hz at 640x480/800x600/1024x768/1152x764/1280x1024 resolutions without any problems, however nothing I have tried so far has worked, and since I can't just edit the registry with the Nvidia drivers, in comparison to the Voodoo3 drivers, I am stuck right now, and Would like to get 85hz to work. If anybody out there can help me, Here is my monitor, Sony SDM-N80, if u guys say get the latest inf file for it, guess what I already have it. So I need your help, has anybody else suffered similar fate with the Nvidia drivers like this?

Try and find the inf file for you monitor.

Tried that, didn't do what I wanted it to, it never defaulted the resolutions to the right refresh rate, and as I said in my original post I have the monitor INF file.

*BUMP*

maybe try to "manually" edit the inf file, and run it back through....

If it wont let you select the monitor refresh rate you need, then it could be the driver are having problems.

Try the uninstalling the drivers and removing any registry keys left and then reinstall then. I www.guru3d.com has some info on doing this

Fail that I would still try the utility I put in the previous email, MultiRes is what it is called.
