NVidia drivers...Switching from 6600gt to 6800nu

I am replacing a Chaintech 6600GT with a Evga 6800..
My question is would I need to download new NVidia drivers or am I good with the latest drivers I recently got from NVidias website??

The 6800 has already been unlocked, running 16/6 and has an NV5 Silencer on it...

Your drivers will be fine. Make sure you are running atleast 77.72 to get peak performance.

Why did you do that? you shouldn't see much performance gain.

The 77.72 drivers mess up video playback gamma settings. Don't forget to make the proper adjustments if you use these drivers.

jsut go into color correction and click set to default even if everything looks straight and fien. fixed ti for me. washed out to perfectly normal.

I think the 77.76 fixed this. Additionally the .76's are the best out right now (I would recommend the XG drivers).

Additionally, to fix the Gamma Correction just move it hit apply, and move it back. That works for most people.

How do you know this is the same guy. Im sure there are other Gamingphreeks in this world. You cannot expect the moderators in this forum to help you with problems from another forum. We have 0 proof about this. On top of that you have no record here.

Additionally, the mods from this forum have no power over what happens in another forum. If you are trying to reach this person PM him by all means.
