Nvidia Drivers, for Dual Core CPU's

i have never owned an nvidia card before...but i bought one and its to arrive in the mail soon.

i also bought a dual core cpu.

i searched to these forums trying to find something about the best nvidia drivers out there.. (there are lot of them...and alot of modded ones...)

i just suck at searching i guess because i did not find anything that recommended a specific driver. the things i did notice were.. someone talking about a dual core optimized nvidia driver? i could not figure out what it was called and i searched but could not find it on google x.x even if i did i bet there are different versions (modded ect) of it so i just decided to post to ask if anyone who owns a dual core and an nvidia card (mine being the 7800gt) can recommend the best driver for me?

i know some are different for different games... and situations...but in general x.x

All drivers from the 81.89 and up offload the vertex processing to the second CPU core. As for the best driver right now, i would high recommend the new 84.12 Xtreme G Modified Driver. If not that one, than the 83.90's are also very nice.

Definitely go XG (www.TweaksRUs.com) and download them. I like them A LOT better than the reference unmodded drivers.

I'll third it. Definitely has the best performace/IQ ratio right now.
