I haven't really messed with my video card settings for a while (school's in, so haven't been gaming), and I've been using the 84.21 nVidia drivers on my 7600GT for well over half a year now, and I was wondering whether upgrading to 9X.XX drivers would be worth it. 84.21 has proven to be incredibly stable for me; are any 9 series drivers stable for everyday use? Also, what are some of the notable feature improvements of upgrading?

As far as speed, yes, it's worth it. I recently checked out 84.56 vs 93.81. 93.81 gave me over 10 fps more in almost every game. They are stable...I don't know about custom resolutions though, as I just use standard on my CRT.

Better IQ too.

The only problem-free driver since 84.21, for my 7900 GTX, is beta 97.28. I've had problems with resolution changing when leaving games (I have CRT monitor), or other instabilities, with any other 9xxx version, including the latest official 93.71 WHQL. No "classic" control panel, but the new control panel works properly in 97.28. I use RForce11 to force refresh rates, and it works great. Even Quake3 can be set up properly for highest quality, which I thought was a thing of the past (I don't play it, but I always try it with new drivers).
