For the Nvidia drivers under: "Performance & Quality Settings - SLI rendering mode"

When SLI is enabled use:

Shouldn't we always want to use Multi-GPU renedering?

Well, you can turn it off if theres an incompatability with a game and SLI, so you can just set it to 1 card instead.

note:
i just assumed your were asking a question like
"why bother having the option to enable or disable SLI?"
If thats isnt what you were asking, then obviously, my answer is wrong...LOL
