Do most people here use the "stock" Nvidea drivers from their site or do you guys use 3rd party drivers..meaning drivers wrote by the public? If the latter... what and where can they be found and what..if any.. are some of the benefits or problems with them? I am very curious as I would like to get maxium performance outta my SLI setup listed below.

Thermaltake Armor VA8000 case
AMD Athlon 64 4000+
Gigabyte K8N-Pro-SLI
OCZ Platinum Dual Channel 4x1024mb(2-3-2-5)

Ultra X2 modular 550 watt psu
2 x EVGA SLI-256mb Nvidia 7800 GT Co Se

I have two SLI setups, which you can look at the specs in my signature if you would like, but I just use the newest drivers from Nvidia. The only time I will try 3rd party drivers is if there is a issue with the newest Nvidia driver. Which at the moment, Nvidia's newest driver has been stable and good with performance for me. Hope that answered your question, if not sorry.

If you are looking for 3rd party drivers, you can go to www.tweaksrus.com or check out the download page on www.guru3d.com and they have a few 3rd party drivers listed and mirrored for download.

I hope it's not against the rules to post those two websites, if it is, then I do apologize.

I have the same cards and generally use the XG drivers (currently using the 82.65 set). They aren't very different from the unmodified ones but have a few minor improvements.

I agree, the Xtreme G drivers have a great amount of image quality without losing much performance at all. I will also vouch that they are good 3rd party drivers.
