Nvidia Driver Problems? Beyond TV Problems?

Ok so I have been trying to update the drivers on my Biostar M7NCG-Pro with Integrated Geforce 4mx graphics.

I update and everything is fine except Beyond TV 4.

When it opens i dont get a picture or anything, just a bunch of corrupted squares all over that window. So far the only drivers that i have got to work are the 61.77 drivers from 2004. The IQ is really bad in the 6 series drivers and i want to update.

Does anyone know what is up with this?

Hmm, might be a conflict with your video card drivers and your TV tuner, are you running the latest drivers on your TV tuner?

I just updated the Hauppage PVR-150 Drivers to try to fix this issue. They are the most up to date that out there.

Also, Beyond TV 4 was also updated to the latest version (4.2) and the Sound Card drivers were updated to the latest (Via Envy 24PT- Chaintech AV-710)

I had a problem where the NVIDIA 66.93 (I think it was) drivers totally disabled deinterlacing on my TV programs but everything else was fine. So newer drivers (67.66 IIRC) fixed it for me but it sounds like you've already tried updating it to the latest (80 something now?).

It could also be a bug in BeyondTV where it doesn't initialize the TV tuner correctly. It needs a kickstart to get going sometimes so you could try using the official TV program that came with the tuner. Open that, close it, and then start BeyondTV and see if it works? Hardly a permanent solution but we could better identify the problem.

You know a lot about software code and what not. So, is there any way for me to go in an manually add the lines of code a cfg file that will allow it to initialize it properly?

Ill definitely try your suggested method though, thank you.

I'm afraid I'd have to completely change part of the program (need source code + recompile) to do that. But the config files have 'routing paths' for the tuner, although I doubt any of that is the problem (if it needs initializing, there's nothing you can fix by changing the paths). It could be another problem entirely.

I ran into the same issue when I was trying to make a TV program. It would just show gibberish until I started the official TV program once. Something got initialized, but I'm not sure what or how to initialize it.
