NVidia Driver installation

When the Nvidia nForce4 driver update is installed (version ver 6.53), it places a bunch of files/folders in a /Nvidia/nForceWin2KXP folder. I am creating a backup image of my system and want to strip out all the unnecessary files. Can these folder/files be removed without leading to a future problem?
