Hey all
Just wanted to open a thread to see if any user here or otherwise have been experiencing driver instability past 372.54? I've tried almost every, if not, all driver revisions since and have experienced all-around driver instability after installation.
General game crashes, crash to black screen (the absolute worst, got 2 since attempting to upgrade to 376.09 in Hitman), and inconsistent framerates.
Installation procedure is always:
1.) Download and clean install
2.) If unstable, wipe with DDU, restart, clean install
3.) Wipe with DDU, go back to 372.54
Not sure if anyone is experiencing similar phenomena. I wouldn't consider my self an advanced user but I would consider myself fairly tech savvy. Haven't really found any definitive answers out there, noticed I also got hit with the 800MHz memory bug on I think 375.63 rev drivers, or whatever revision had that bug before the hotfix.
Relevant specs:
4790K
Zotac 1080 Extreme
3440x1440@60Hz
W10 Anniversary
For me, it seemed most of my instability with later revisions started when the W10 anniversary update arrived, but I'm not positive about that.
Anyone have suggestions?
