If true this sucks. Why can't nvidia reinvent the wheel like they did with the Geforce 8800 GTX ?

Looks like I will just hold on to my HD4870 and skip out on the 4870x2 after reading this. I can definitely wait for the refresh to see what Nvidia can do after ATI surprised us all.
