the 41.09's have been on the NVidia site for quite some time now... I wonder when some other drivers will come out on their site...

I've often wondered that myself...where do these drivers really come from? And who is it that 'leaks' them..?

And now I just saw a site that has 40.92s!

I ask again, where do these drivers come from if not NVIDIA?

I think you mean 42.90, these are from dell. It's not uncommon for companies to release newer versions of detonators for their line of graphics cards. Drivers on nvidia's site are suppose to be reference drivers, they don't determine the status of other drivers. Just because nvidia doesn't post a certain driver version doesn't mean the driver is beta or leaked. I read awhile back on nvidia's site that customers should use drivers provided by their card manufacturer before using the ones on nvidia's site because they are just reference drivers which are not optimized for any specific card. Example: gainward currently provides nvidia 41.04 WHQL drivers, these drivers aren't beta just because they don't come from nvidia, they are for the gainward cards but anyone can use them as well. Some how the terms "beta" and "leaked" got used so much people just started saying that about every driver which didn't get posted on nvidia. I noticed my bags of chips ahoy! shows pictures of cookies with 10 chocolate chips but I ate some cookies with less than 10, I must have eaten a BETA  cookie!

Anyone installed this driver yet? I recently installed 42.86 and it lowered 70 points on my 3dmark2003 score.

"Gainward currently provides nvidia 41.04 WHQL drivers"
I checked at their website, but couldn't find them, where to?
