Nvidia Detonator 29.20s out

Do these drivers still limit fps to 60?? I had to go back to the 23s as well because the refresh rate fix didnt work on newer drivers. Anybody know if this problem has finally been fixed??

Thanks

I just tested the 29.20's & they're definitely faster than the 28.90 & 29.11's, but a little more unstable. I tested 28.90, 29.11 & 29.20 using SS:SE, JK2, Q3, UT, Spider-Man & 3DMark2001SE. Although the 29.20's were the fastest in my testing, they're the most unstable. I got a single crash in UT, Spider-Man & 3DMark2001SE, but had flawless runs with 28.90 & 29.11. I have yet to test Anisotropic Filtering & Anti-Aliasing though.

Uh, there aren't any drivers that do that. If you're having this problem it means that:

(1) You have vsync enabled (so disable it).
(2) Your refresh rate is 60 Hz (download a utility such as RivaTuner to fix it).

No, i dont have my refresh at 60. There has been a bug with nvidia drivers that limited fps to 60 in winxp no matter what refresh. That is why the refresh rate fix came out, to solve the problem. I highly doubt they would release a fix to a problem that didnt exist. So, does anyone know if the same problem exists in the new drivers???

Here you go butch...Refresh Rate Fix

The new nVidia drivers still have that 60Hz refresh rate ceiling in 3D (in Windows 2000 and XP), but this utility should take care of it will ALL nVidia drivers and take up where the original refresh rate fix left off. 😉
