Nvidia Desktop Manager not staying on

I have an ABIT Siluro TI200 video card with recent drivers Installed. I also have recent detonator drivers installed from NVidia. I have 2 flat panel monitors that I want to have the task bar extend accross (amongst other desktop manager features). I cannot however, turn on the desktop manager features. When I click the checkbox to enable it and click ok, it does not start and when I go back the checkbox is UNCHECKED! I have gone through various combinations of installing and unistalling drivers from both ABIT (which does not include the NView features) and NVidia to no avail. Please let me know the proper install procedure to get the Nvidia drivers to work properly!
